Description | Shoulder lekythos, complete except for minor fragments. Disk foot, bevelled, glazed on top only. On wall on a reserved ground line a female figure in chiton, himation, and a sakkos strides to right, looking back, right hand extended back, left hand forward, holding a leafy branch. Above, a maeander pattern. On reserved shoulder, traces of a running palmette pattern. Neck reserved, lip and exterior of handle black. On base in pencil: "TXV" (possibly for Tomb XV?). Also "255" twice. |
