Description

Totonicapan type "stiff belt". Green border stripes, black and white alternating warp within, warp faced. Brocading in rose, yellow, purple, green, repeating random width stripes not determined by warp defined patterning. 75 motif divisions: bush-vase, bird, human, animal and geometrics. Strand braided fringe at each end.

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 96 epi, two ply, green, white and black cotton. Weft: 27 ppi, multistrand, green cotton. Supplementary weft is two faced. Woven on a backstrap loom.
