Description | Complete. Lip abraded. Most of painted dec. worn off. Base a flattening, resting surface is edge of underside of omphalos. Walls nearly straight out, but slope up gently and turn in a bit at plain lip. Central rounded omphalos, conical hollow underneath. Painted dec,; on exterior, traces of red around rim. On interior (once), red and white rays outlined in black radiating from omphalos and interlocking with red and white lozenge pattern starting from lip. Fine fabric, fine clay. Fired very light brownish buff on surface, slightly more orange at core. |
