Materials Spruce Root | Pigment

Cylindrical, basketry rattle made from split spruce root fibers. Tapers slightly toward one end and expands into a flattened knob at the opposite end. Decorated with circumferal bands of geometric designs likely made using pigments rather than different colored weaving materials.
