Description | Or basket cloth, navy plain weave cotton, red and white pin stripes running parallel to selvedge, two breadths of cloth joined by yellow and magenta silk thread randas, ends finished with yellow and magenta silk thread in zigzag pattern, tassels at all four corners. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 56 epi, 2 singles, Z twist, navy and red cotton. 2 ply, S twist, white cotton. Weft: 20 ppi, 2 singles, Z twist, blue cotton. Warp faced plain weave. 2 panels - 2 selvedges each." |
