Description | Crescent shaped carved wooden box. Possibly a cosmetic box. Dark brown in color. Bisha Masomobo pattern (wild boar's back) pattern. Lid of box is ornamented with a raised checkered pattern, in center is a raised concentric circle design. Rim is decorated with a series of layered lines. Body of box is decorated with paralled layered lines with small raised checkered triangles in center of line segments. Holes through top rear center on both lid and bottom of body of box. Additional holes found on backside of both lid and box. |
