Description | Red cotton ground, three quarters of garment is supplementary weft embroidery in bands, some gold thread embroidery, neck banded in black velvet. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 56 epi, 2 ply, Z twist, red cotton. Weft: 23 ppi, 3 singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary weft - single, two faced and double faced. 2 panels - 4 selvedges each. Made on a backstrap loom." |
