Description | Upper part of neck and all of handle except lower attachment missing. Shape as preserved resembles a doorknob. Broad flat bottom, lenticular body with sharp articularion between the two halves. Upper part broader and steeper. Neck cylindrical with no articulation between it and shoulder. Handle would have been of vertical, strap variety. Only lower part of body is glazed. On shoulder are groups of zigzags, horizontal and vertical alternating. Four glazed lines around lower neck, chevrons above. Hard pinkish brown clay, dull streaky black glaze. |
