Description

Round with 2 notches opposite each other in circumference. Of thick hide with conical boss. Cf. Ratzel, Volkerkunde, III, p. 134; Schebesta and Holtker, Der afrikanische Schilde. I, Anthropos, 1923-4, pp. 1032-3; II, Anthropos, 1925, pp. 835, 836. See AF 276, 2867, 2868, 4721. The boss is crossed by a molded ridge: cf. 2890.
