Description | Man's cotton sash, warp faced. Stripes of red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and jaspes of indigo-white, red and orange. About 1/3 has widely spaced bands of 2 sided brocade geometric motifs. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 66 epi, two singles, Z twist, red and dark blue ikat cotton. Two ply, yellow, green, purple, blue and orange rayon. Weft: 18 ppi, two singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
