Description

Jar shaped amulet or pendant with Arabic Inscription on one side. Persian talisman, oblong in form. A prayer. Beautifully engraved. Begins with an invocation of divine grace on behalf of the Prophet Muhammad and the covenant, and the heavens, and the climates (climates in the sense of territories), etc. The manner in which these inscriptions are abbreviated, to get them on the limited space of the stone, will account for the difficulty of always entirely deciphering them.
