Description | Rough Cast Jar. Thin-walled, whitish buff paste, with thin red wash applied by dipping (finger prints under rim). Clay particles of various sizes applied from under rim to base, under the wash. Base flat, small, hollow, offset from wide-ovoid body. Rim small, flaring, emphasized by wheel-run groove below it on exterior and nicely pared on top and interior. |
