Description | Circular, wickerwork, basketry tray. Katsina design. Red triangular section from the forehead to the eyes and an orange, triangular section from the chin to the eyes. Thirteen, black lines radiate out from the head. Broad, black lines below the chin, possibly indicating a beard. The edge is painted with a black checkerboard pattern and then wrapped with yucca. The reverse shows the back of the Katsina's head. |
