Description | Plaster cast of one of the two handles from large shallow copper/bronze basin. Handle curved in shape to accommodate three fingers. Attachment decorated with form in the shape of a bird with pulled up feet, outspread wings and bent head. Interior of bird filled with lead plug. Original handle in Musee Melli Iran, Tehran, iran (TM 10635). Handle had been ttached by two nails at either end of handle attachment. |
