Description | Dark jade axe, perforation bored from one side, lower edge of blade is beveled, nick on one corner. Spade shaped objects crafted from jade characterized burials from the neolithic Dawenkou site in Shandong province. They are associated with richer burials, suggesting that the tomb occupants were members of the community who had higher status. Green jade. |
