Description
Mat seat. Tabit Song. Small rectangular mat with pointed top, woven of natural and dark brown rattan peel forming two vertical bands of diagonal stripes and diagonal bands at triangular top. Top edged with red trade cloth (somewhat damaged) on which are sewn eight small cowrie shells. Twisted strings attached to back, center top. Worn by men, suspended from the waist at back, ready to sit on in the forest.
