Description | Unfinished. White cotton ground with horizontal rows of birds, flowers, plants and geometric motifs in dark blue cotton with diamond shaped accents in pink, yellow, and green silk. Red cotton stripes weft brocadings. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 36 epi two singles Z-twist white cotton. Weft: 28 ppi two singles Z-twist in red and white cotton (in pattern part). Plain weave, warp-predominant. Supplementary weft: two-faced. Made on a backstrap loom." |
