Description

Nttheng means to divine; ma, with, of; yonggo is a Mendi word referring to the apparatus; le is the article [ Sherbro]. The pieces are thrown on the ground, and certain ones selected and arranged in lines of differing lengths and directions; from these the ttheng no [ diviner] foretells good or ill fortune.
