Description | Red ground, black and white stripes. Two panels joined with purple, orange, yellow, green, white silk. Two animals embroidered in center in purple silk. Each panel has three selvedges. Decorative zigzag stitched on hem of one side (cotton thread in purple, green; silk thread in yellow, blue, orange). As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 60 epi two singles Z-twist red, blue cotton, one single Z-twist in white cotton. Weft: 28 epi two singles Z-twist red cotton. Plain weave, warp-faced; purple embroidery." |
