Description | Decorated. Wide single bobbin weave stripes in section sewed to plain cloth. Fragment of a plain weave cotton textile with 2 bands/stripes of a single-sided bobbin weave (floats on verso). This weaving appears to be over the plain weave base. One join visible, and it's joining the section with the bobbin weave to another plain weave cloth. According to the catalogue card, this fragment is a part of a "loin cloth". Color(s): White ground and red, black and yellow bobbin weave. |
