Description
Metal spindle with red and white thread separated by disk made of gourd.
An extended worked wood handle attaches to the mounting base of the wheel. The hub is a piece of bottle gourd. The wheel has a ladder construction. Two spokes are intact, two are disconnected from the hub and four are missing altogether. An iron handle extends as a crank from the hub. The spindle whorl is also a piece of wood and fits over the far end of the handle. Spinning wheel is "new" style.
