Description | Navy blue cotton almost completely covered with brocaded multicolored bands of varying widths and designs. Pink, lavender and light green are the dominant colors. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 74 epi, 2 singles, Z twist, indigo cotton. Weft: 24 ppi, 2 single, Z twist, indigo cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary warp - single faced. Many different continous and delicate brocading thickness including warp wrapping. 2 panels: 3 selvedges each. Made on a backstrap loom. |
