Description

Stylized female figurines; flat faces; long neck; short arms; no hands; bulbous legs and vestigial feet; plant fibre apron worn by each; Body decoration of vegetable dyes (restored); black is genipapo juice, red, uruku dye; designs: zoned-head, neck and back are white; arms, chest, abdomen and legs and buttocks orange-red (-2: more pinkish) black and white linear geometric designs on calves, thighs, buttocks and abdomen as far as breasts on -1 and -2, but extend above on -3; long black hair, orange line on forehead; eyes circular; -2 -3 rest of face omitted.
