Description | Comb tapers slightly from top to teeth; upper portion is solid band of wood with portion below it deeply recessed with openwork through to the back of comb; 19 teeth, each tapering to a point at the bottom. Written in ink on back of comb: "Cherokee, N.C.". Object found in drawer with other material from Pennypacker collection. Condition: Good. To Registrar's for freezing 3/91. |
