Description | Oinochoe with narrow foot (?) fragment. Wall fragment of a closed vessel, portion of slightly curving side.. Hard, buff clay. Black glaze. Below, in a reserved zone, forehead & ear of goat, its horn projecting into area above decorated with scale pattern. Outlines of scales incised through glaze, and alternate scales painted purple over glaze. "Heraeum" in pencil on interior. |
