Description | One of a pair of beaded, leather boots. An ankle thong wraps around the boot and ties at the front. Stiff leather sole that curls upward at the front. Soft, buckskin upper. The top has a star made of beaded, concentric diamonds in light red, dark red, white, green, and blue beads. A thin band of red and green beads runs up one side along the seam. The ankle has a 1cm wide lower band of white, blue and red beads arranged in diagonal lines and, above that, a 1cm wide band of red and blue beads separated by a zigzag of white beads. This set of two bands is repeated just below the collar. Between these sets of double bands is a beaded star similar to the star on the top of the boot and on the opposite side, two beaded circles arranged vertically. The collar has a thin band of red, green and white beads encircling it. |
