Description

Man's. Each legging is single piece of native tanned hide folded and secured on open side at fourteen points with strips of hide that tapers from top to bottom; ten ermine skins wrapped with red stroud attached to open side of each legging; 25 "tadpole" design (5 rows of 5 each) are painted on each legging with mineral paint; band of beadwork (concentric spot stitched stepped triangles in green, red, and navy blue against white background) done on canvas is attached at open edge of each legging; commercial cotton thread is used for sewing.
