Description | Oblong. Plaited. Ash splints. Flat bottom with ever other horizontal splint much narrower than other horizontals and verticals. Sides bulge slightly, have a band around the middle of three narrow horizontals and another narrow horizontal below rim; otherwise all splints are c. same width. Rim is made of 4 shaved sticks bound inside against splints. Remnants of a handle on one side-two lugs. Cover has broad, narrow, 2 broad, 3 narrow, etc. hor-izontals on top and narrow horizontals around sides. One side is broken. |
