Description

The object is identified as a Hopi Hootsani Kachina. The Kachina is carved painted wood, wears a turquoise colored mask with large eyes and protruding mouth and orange body paint. The figure wears a painted red sash. White and gray feathers on the top of its head. Proper right (PR) wrist has a black yarn tie; the PL wrist wears a bronze/black painted band. At the figure's waist is a belt of metal bells.

Paint colors: white, black, turquoise, orange, light orange, purple, green, bronze.

The Bow and Arrow is not attached to the figure. The arrow and bow are held together with a piece of stitched leather. Feathers are attached to the ends of the bow string.

Paint colors: white, black, light orange, yellow.
