Description | From Marcus Publication: "Chlorite (possibly gonyerite). copper pin in perforation. Surface very worn. Faint traces of kneeling archer(?) aiming his bow at a rampant winged bull, both facing left. The ribs of the quadruped are indicated by horizontal incisions, one of which is further decorated with tiny triangular serrations probably indicating body hair. Between the opponents is a bush with a central vertical stem and short diagonal branches, several ending in a cluster of brush like incisions. Traces of a palmette with three branches are in the field below the bull. A cuneiform-like wedge, a crescent with jagged lower edge, a six-pointed star, and seven globes are carved in a series across the sky." |
