Description

Marine Style. Shape: Squat alabastron with convex profile, three coil handles, low neck with slightly flaring rim, and low foot. Fabric: Fine, pink (7.5YR 7/4) clay with decoration in reddish yellow (5YR 6/6) to black (5YR 2.5/1) paint. Self-slipped. Decoration: Dots on interior of rim. Lines on handle. Band on neck; octopi on shoulder zone, swiming to right; eight bands on lower part of body. Resting surface unpainted. Condition: Repair at mouth, otherwise intact. Surface very eroded.
