Description

Wooden shaft with pointed end. Head is of carved wood completely covered with split cane in natural and black woven in geometric designs. Head flares at one end to a mace shape; blade inserted at other end held with woven fibers. Blade of hard grey stone, thin, ground; cutting edge is curved; bottom edge of adze is slightly concave, otherwise blade flares evenly from butt. Blade loose. Black designs are in bands.
