Description | One panel made up of 2 selvedges and frayed ends. Dark blue ground with 1" wide stripe on each side. Weft brocade: monkeys and two headed birds in white, yellow and red bands of zig-zag motif. Warp: 38 ep single Z-twisted blue cotton and 54 epi eingle Z-twisted white cotton. Weft: 26 ppi two single Z-twisted dark blue cotton. Plain weave, warp-predominant. Supplementary weft: 3 single Z-twisted white and yellow cotton. Weft brocade: two-faced. Made on a backstrap loom. |
