Description
Cofradia head band. Red wool and cotton with tapestry patterning in silk with long tassels. Some metallic fibers in tassels. Woven in Totonicapan. The middle is solid red and the patterning is along the ends of the hair band.
As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp red section: 28 epi, two singles, Z twist, white cotton. Weft red section: 68 ppi, single, Z twist, red cotton. Warp tapestry section: 28 epi. Weft faced plain weave- red section. Weft faced twill and double faced tapestry weave."
