Description
Wooden Zuni Katsina doll with movable arms. The face is unpainted with eyes joined by a horizontal band of black. The mouth is detached and flower blossoms are painted on the sides of the head. A collar of feathers surrounds the neck. A leather pouch is strung across the body and a shell pendant hangs from the neck. A painted breechcloth is wrapped around the waist with green and yellow yarn tassels. This figure is likely the Zuni Seed Warrior (Salimopia) Katsina.
