Description | Center panel is red and side panels are yellowish white. Brocading of horizontal bands of zigzags, diamonds and birds are done in red, white, yellow and green. Neck hole not cut out and sides not sewn up. Unworn. See 29-60-4. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp central panel: 24 epi, two singles, Z twist, red cotton. Weft central panel: 22 ppi, two singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp side panels: 25 epi, two singles, Z twist, white cotton. Weft side panels: 22 ppi, two singles, Z twist, red cotton. Balanced plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. Three panels, four selvedges. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
