Description

Ga'u or chunam box. Copper in the shape of a shrine door with a character written on it. Miscellaneous contents. Stylized "om"-"all powerful ten" mystic monogram composed of 10 Sanskrit letters surrounded by nyi-zca or sun-moon emblem with lotus petals at base and sides. Copper. Contents: round wooden(?) ball about 1" diameter; piece of paper tied with blue and yellow; silk threads; piece of paper with Tibetan inscriptions; piece of paper with Tibetan inscription wrapped around a scrap of white cloth; piece of paper with Tibetan inscription; piece of paper with Tibetan inscription wrapped around small scrap of white cloth; scrap of blue cloth; scrap of white cloth.
