Description | Four panels sewn together, each with four selvedges. Seamed at shoulders and down the middle; neck closed. Red cotton ground with warp stripes in yellow, brown, purple cotton. As per Sigrid Meier, "Weft brocading: horses, deer, two-headed birds in yellow, purple cotton and green, purple silk. Warp: 54 epi singles Z-twist in red, yellow and brown cotton, 3 ply purple cotton. Weft: 18 ppi four strands single Z-twist red cotton. Supplementary weft: two-faced." |
