University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology

The Penn Museum has an extensive collection of archival films (that have been digitized) and born-digital videos covering a range of archaeological and anthropological topics. As a work in progress, the Museum continuously strives to improve both the quantity and quality of the videos available. For example, we invite viewers to contribute additional inside and expert knowledge about the places, people, and practices seen in our archival films.

Currently, we have more than 1,100 videos, including lectures, educational films, archival films, and promotional material.

Given the historical nature of some of these videos, they may contain subject matters or images that some may find troubling. Archival films may display content some will find culturally insensitive and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Penn Museum. If you have a comment or concern please email online.collections@pennmuseum.org and provide a link (URL) to the relevant video.
