Description | Departure of a warrior: youth, shield on back, mounting chariot; facing him, behind horses, a bearded man with a staff. Missing: fragments of body, much of shoulder, all of neck. Lip separate. For shape, decoration of shoulder cf. Haspels "ABL" pl. 16, 2. (Beazley, ABV, p. 379, no. 265: Leagros Group) Dated by Haspels ca. 500-490. |
