Description

This decorative panel is dated to 1652. It is Ottoman, from Egypt. The decoration is both floral in the center, and at the top and bottom is a poem (not a prayer) whcih stresses themes of splendor and generosity. (which is very appropriate for a panel used to decorate the walls of a receiving room, for example, in an Ottoman home)
