Large natural color bark cloth (401.9 x 311.8 cm) stamped with black “suns” in groups of 20 or 40 on a white background. Man’s garment (malo). Acquired on the United States Exploring Expedition (1838-1842) by Titian R. Peale. “Dresses of 'Tapa,' male attire.” on Peale list. Ka Hana Kapa #391.
