Description

Oval; sloping sides rising to a rounded crown. Outside; very fine basket weave; spiral plaid pattern. Straw tan, brown, black. Straw braid edging. Inside: coiled weave; beginning at the centre---red, natural, red, yellow, brown, wire, yellow, wire, brown, yellow, red. The red and yellow are thread wrapped; the "wire" is straw wrapped with wire. Fitted headband of elaborate coil weave in brown, yellow and black. Woven white twine loops to which is attached neck cord of same material.
