In the last number of the JOURNAL in describing the floor tiles in the Chapter House of Westminster Abbey I stated that these tiles had never been published.

My attention has since been called to a paper by Rev. P. B. Clayton, M.A., entitled, “The Inlaid Tiles of Westminster Abbey,” read before the Royal Archaeological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland on October 4th, 1910, and published in The Archaeological Journal, Vol. LXIX, page 36.

This article contains a description of the tiles, a historical discussion and a plan of the floor. It is accompanied also by drawings of seven of the eighteen conventional tiles and drawings of three out of the eight picture tiles.
