This all-day festival, presented in partnership with The Clay Studio, pays homage to Women’s History Month by spotlighting artists and creative practitioners working in a variety of art forms. Learn how women have shaped cultures and history in communities across the globe. Hear from storytellers and musicians, experience dance performances, and watch ceramic and print artists in action. Stop by the artist marketplace throughout the day to support local women business owners. Plus, get inspired to make your own art to take home!

Once Upon the Sun and Sea
3:00–3:30 pm
Set sail for faraway islands and open seas through Indigenous stories and folk tales from the Philippines adapted by writer Jo Tiongson-Perez and award-winning educator Denise Orosa. Their debut children’s book has been featured in Vogue and 6ABC.

Enjoy live pottery wheel demonstrations from ceramic artisans from The Clay Studio, and learn how to make prints and simple clay pots under the guidance of teaching artists

The Sattriya Dance Company tells the story of Sattriya, a 500-year-old dance originating from the Vaishnav monasteries of Assam, India. The company uses dance as an agent of change to spread messages of peace, equality, love, and universal brotherhood.
Three Aksha
3:30–4:00 pm Experience the graceful choreography of Three Aksha, a Philadelphia-based dance academy that preserves and promotes Indian culture and heritage through classical Indian Bharatanatyam dance choreography.
