Meet hosts Patrick McGovern, Scientific Director of the Biomolecular Archaeology Project for Cuisine, Fermented Beverages and Health, and his oft-times collaborator Sam Calagione, Founder and President of Dogfish Head Brewery, at this exclusive tutored tasting event. Hear the stories of how archaeologist and brewer inspired one another, and taste some of the award-winning ancient brew recreations, including “Midas Touch,” that were born from their collaboration.

The special related exhibition, The Golden Age of King Midas, which features many of the food and beer vessels used in a Phrygian King’s funerary feast nearly 3000 years ago, is open to all event attendees, beginning at 5:00 pm.

Cash bar. Tickets: $20; $15, Penn Museum members (includes complimentary tastings).

Guests must be 21 or older.
